Frequently Asked questions

Absolutely! Motorcycle travel is not limited by age, gender, or background. It’s a passion that unites riders from all walks of life and allows them to explore the world in a unique and exciting way. So, if you have a desire to hit the road on two wheels, go for it! You won’t regret it.

While experience can be beneficial, it’s not mandatory to begin motorcycle travel. What truly matters is having a desire to learn and an enthusiasm for exploration. With some basic training and preparation, anyone can hit the road on a motorcycle and start discovering the world in a unique way. So, don’t let inexperience discourage you from embarking on an unforgettable adventure on two wheels!

No, you don’t have to ride long distances for your first travels. It’s important to start with shorter trips that are within your comfort zone and gradually work your way up to longer journeys. The key is to focus on enjoying the experience and building your confidence as a rider. With time and practice, you’ll be able to tackle longer and more challenging routes.

There is no “perfect” motorcycle for travel, as it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and the type of trip you are planning. However, there are many excellent motorcycles designed specifically for touring and adventure travel, offering comfort, durability, and ample storage space. The key is to find a motorcycle that feels comfortable and reliable for you, and to make any necessary modifications to suit your travel needs. So, don’t worry about finding the “perfect” motorcycle – focus on finding the one that’s perfect for you and your travel goals.

While there is some overlap, motorcycle travel, touring, and adventure each have their own unique characteristics. Motorcycle travel typically refers to any type of journey taken on a motorcycle, whether it’s a short day trip or a longer multi-day journey. Touring generally refers to longer on-road based trips that focus on exploring scenic routes and popular destinations. Adventure, on the other hand, usually involves more off-road riding and exploring remote areas. Regardless of the type of motorcycle travel you choose, each offers its own rewards and challenges, and all provide an incredible opportunity to discover the world on two wheels.

While some people spend a lot of time preparing for their motorcycle travel, others simply go for it. While it’s important to have a basic plan and ensure that you have the necessary equipment and safety gear, there’s no need to let preparation hold you back from embarking on an adventure. Sometimes, the most memorable experiences are the ones that are unplanned and spontaneous. So, whether you prefer to plan extensively or fly by the seat of your pants, the most important thing is to hit the road and start exploring the world on two wheels.

The cost of motorcycle travel can vary depending on your destination, the length of your trip, and the type of accommodations and activities you choose. However, motorcycle travel can also be a budget-friendly way to explore the world, as it often allows for greater flexibility and the ability to avoid more expensive forms of transportation. Camping or staying in hostels, cooking your own meals, and taking advantage of free activities can all help keep costs down. With some smart budgeting and planning, anyone can enjoy the adventure of motorcycle travel without breaking the bank.

For us, time is the most “expensive” item of the budget. It’s limited and we usually want to explore further and longer. That makes us rely more on camping options, than to take a more “tourist” approach of the tours. After all it’s mostly about the ride and the experience and not so much about the time spend in hotel rooms. Nevertheless we try to account for some comforts along the way as they can be a great booster. Of course, what really matters is that you find the right balance for you. As long as you take in consideration the basics, everything over that is just a bonus.

There is no such thing as the “right moment”, or the “right step”. Taking action and following through is what really matters. One thing is certain: if you don’t start it, you’ll never know what it’s like.
